*What is the Difference Between a "Training Supervisor" and a "Clinical/Work" Supervisor?
A Training Supervisor assists LSW supervisees with obtaining the skills and hours necessary to achieve advanced licensure (LISW). A Clinical/Work Supervisor focuses on the day to day needs of the agency and clients for whom the LSW provides services.

*What is the cost per group supervision session?
My group supervision rate is $65 per person per 90-minute session. This rate reflects a comprehensive, dual-focus approach designed to streamline your path to independent licensure.
Unlike standard supervision which focuses solely on case consultation, my groups integrate targeted ASWB exam preparation into our clinical discussions. We bridge the gap between real-world social work and 'textbook' exam logic, ensuring you are building the confidence and knowledge to pass your exam while you accrue your hours—saving you stress and study time in the long run.
My goal is that by the time you finish your hours, you don't just qualify to take the test—you feel ready to pass it.
*Are groups virtual or in person?
All supervision sessions are provided virtually via the HIPAA compliant platform, Simple Practice. The platform allows for audio and video, and secure communication and document sharing.
*How often do groups meet?
Group sessions are held weekly for 90 minutes per session.
Remember- Per the Ohio CSWMFT Board, you are allowed to count 1 hour of supervision per 20 hours worked. This means that if you intend to participate in a weekly 90-minute session, you must average at least 30 hours per week.
*Do I have to participate every single week?
While it is recommended that you participate as regularly as possible in order to best benefit from training and to finish in a timely manner, you are allowed to participate at an interval and pace that makes sense to you!
Remember- The Ohio CSWMFT requires a total of 3,000 work hours over 24 months, with a minimum of 150 supervision hours. If you don't attend supervision regularly, you won't reach the 150 supervised hours in 2 years.
90 minutes per week= 78 hours per year, 156 hours in 2 years.
*I live in another state, but need training for my Ohio LISW license. Are you able to help me?
I can only supervise those with an Ohio LSW license who are serving clients within the state of Ohio.
*Who keeps track of my hours?
It is the duty of the supervisee to keep a supervision log, notes, and a log of hours completed.
The supervisor's role is to review and sign the log regularly (this is done quarterly at Steady Steps).
Your log should include:
Your Name & License Number
Supervisor's Name & License Number
The Date & Time of the Supervision
The Type of Supervision (Group or Individual)
Content of the Supervision (Goals, Competencies Addressed, etc)
Your Signature and the Supervisor's Signature
